ALSIM Compact - Cirrus
Step into the ALSIM Compact, a high-fidelity simulator designed to replicate the advanced glass cockpits found in modern Cirrus aircraft. With wraparound visuals, real-world avionics, and immersive flight controls, students can practice everything from takeoffs and landings to complex instrument procedures.
This FAA-approved training device mirrors the technology youβll use in the air, helping you build confidence while saving time and money on flight training.

True-to-Aircraft Avionics & Flight Deck
The ALS R Compact mirrors the Cirrus Perspective+β’ avionics with original Garmin hardware, integrating synthetic vision, autopilot (GFC 700), and realistic CAPS simulation for total cockpit fidelity.

Immersive Visuals & Realistic Controls
The wraparound visuals and active control loading let you fly procedures and maneuvers that feel true to the aircraft. From takeoffs and approaches to complex IFR profiles, youβll fly like youβre in the real thing.

Practice What You Canβt Safely Do in the Air
Engine failures, instrument outages, low-visibility approachesβthese scenarios are too risky to train in the aircraft. In the ALSIM, you can rehearse them until your response is second nature.

Integrated Into Every Stage
Whether youβre preparing for solo, building your instrument scan, or tightening up for a checkride, your CFI will align simulator sessions with your stage of training. That means faster progress and less wasted flight time.
Cirrus Flight Simulator FAQs
Do I need an orientation before my first session?
Yes. A short orientation with a CFI is required before your first session to cover controls, avionics, and how to run scenarios.
Can I log time in the ALSIM Compact?
Yes. The simulator is FAA-approved as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD). Time may be loggable under AATD allowances when flown with a CFI.
What is the hourly rate?
The ALSIM Compact starts at $50/hr. If flown dual, your instructorβs time is billed separately.
What is included in block time?
Block time includes access to the ALSIM simulator. Dual sessions add CFI time at the standard rate.
How long do I have to use purchased block hours?
Block hours must be used within 12 months, or the agreed upon preiod. We recommend scheduling sessions to align with your current training stage for the best results.
Does the ALSIM Compact require a membership to rent?
No membership is required. The simulator is available to all Aspire students and renters.
