Aircraft Rental FAQ
How does block time work?
Block time lets you pre-purchase hours in an aircraft at a discounted dry rate. You’ll schedule flights through Flight Circle, and each reservation deducts from your balance.
Do block hours expire?
Yes. Hours must be flown within 12 months of purchase. Any unused hours after that period will expire.
Can block time be shared between pilots?
No. Block hours are assigned to the purchasing pilot and cannot be transferred or shared.
Do I need a checkout before renting?
Yes. A checkout with a CFI is required to demonstrate proficiency in the aircraft before solo rental.
What if weather or maintenance cancels my flight?
If Aspire cancels due to weather or maintenance, you will be rescheduled without losing block hours.
Is instruction included in block time?
No. Instruction is billed separately at the current dual rate. Block time covers aircraft rental only.
Are there membership fees?
Yes. Cirrus block time requires a $200 monthly membership fee. Membership fees do not reduce block balances.
What is the cancellation policy for scheduled flights?
Flights should be canceled in Flight Circle as early as possible. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges at Aspire’s discretion.
Are monthly payments available?
Yes. For 50-hour block purchases, monthly payment options are available upon request.
